Hydroxycut

Hydroxycut and Hydroxycut Max, manufactured by Iovate Health Sciences Inc., are dietary supplements marketed as weight loss products that burn fat and boost energy. After receiving reports of serious medical issues – including elevated liver enzymes, liver damage requiring transplant, jaundice, and death – associated with Hydroxycut, the FDA recommended that consumers stop using Hydroxycut products in May 2009. The following Hydroxycut and Hydroxycut Max products were subsequently recalled by the manufacturer:

  • Hydroxycut Regular Drink Packets
  • Hydroxycut Caffeine-Free Drink Packets
  • Hydroxycut Caffeine-Free Rapid Release Caplets
  • Hydroxycut Liquid Shots
  • Hydroxycut 24
  • Hydroxycut Carb Control
  • Hydroxycut Natural
